How to install
- Download the ISO above. If you're not sure which edition, pick Anvil — it has everything you need to build and run games.
- Flash it to a USB drive (8 GB+). Use Rufus on Windows or Balena Etcher on Mac. Select the ISO, select your USB drive, write. Done in a couple of minutes.
- Boot from the USB. Plug it in and restart. If your PC doesn't boot from USB automatically, enter your firmware menu (usually
F12 or Del at the manufacturer splash screen) and select the USB drive. Tip: if you see a Windows fast-startup screen instead, hold Shift while clicking Restart in Windows first.
- Install. Foundry Linux boots to a live desktop. Click Install Foundry Linux, follow the prompts — takes about 15 minutes. Your game projects and files stay on whatever drive you point the installer at.
